Construction of a new steel structure manufacturing plant
Project description
This project, carried out in design-build mode, covered the complete electromechanical and civil engineering for a new steel plant. The mandate included designing on soil with low bearing capacity, requiring special civil engineering for drainage and foundations.
Expertise
- Building electricity
- Building mechanics
- Civil engineering
Mandate features
- Load calculation for the dimensioning of the new electrical input.
- 600A electrical input on pole at 347/600V.
- Location of the building and layout of Hydro-Québec’s distribution lines.
- Normal electrical distribution.
- Connection of production equipment, including 2 overhead cranes.
- Connection of mechanical equipment (ventilation and plumbing).
- Indoor and outdoor lighting and control systems.
- Emergency lighting system.
- Fire alarm system.
- Grounding network.
