Construction of a new 4 MW data center

Project description

This project involved providing electromechanical engineering services for the construction of a new 4MW Tier III data center, designed to be robust, resilient, and scalable. The objective was to ensure a reliable infrastructure for critical equipment through redundant systems and a new 25kV electrical input.

Expertise
  • Building electricity
  • Building mechanics
  • Coordination study
Mandate features
  • Upgrade of the main electrical input to 25kV.
  • Four 2MW generators.
  • Diesel fuel distribution system with a 25,000-liter tank and two redundant pump systems.
  • 4 power transformers rated at 2.5MVA.
  • 4 uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems rated at 2MVA.
  • 4 bypass devices rated at 2000A at 480V.
  • Server room layout (distributed cabling and air circulation).
  • Cooling systems for temperature control.
  • Ventilation and air conditioning system for server rooms.
  • Pre-action fire alarm system for critical rooms.
  • Grounding network including the raised floor of the server room.
  • Plumbing and drainage system.

Rethinking today's engineering, for tomorrow's world.
