Update of arc flash study and electrical hazard analysis
Project description
As part of a project to replace electrical equipment, the mandate was to update the arc flash study and protection coordination for the entire plant (up to 2.4kV). This comprehensive upgrade, including an on-site technical survey, was made necessary by the replacement of several major pieces of equipment such as transformers and circuit breakers.

- On-site technical survey of all electrical equipment in the factory.
- Data update for new transformers, circuit breakers, and motors (2.4kV and 600V).
- Addition of 2.4kV variable speed drives to the study model.

- Modeling of the new debarking line for the lumber yard.
- Selection of new settings for 600V circuit breaker protection relays.
- Production of arc flash labels to be affixed to various equipment and devices to ensure worker safety.
