Arc flash studies for a new data center
Project description
This project aimed to produce a short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash study report for the development of a new Tier IV data center. The analysis covered all medium- and low-voltage equipment, including emergency generators, and evaluated multiple operating scenarios to determine worst-case incident energy scenarios.

- On-site technical survey of all electrical equipment.
- Modeling of medium and low voltage equipment (up to 25kV).
- Modeling of emergency power generators and their bypass equipment.
- Integration of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems into the study model.
- Analysis of multiple operating scenarios to determine worst-case incident energy scenarios.
- Development of optimal settings for all protective devices in order to achieve, on the one hand, continuity of service and the lowest possible incident energy level when workers are required to work on live equipment.
